A group for non-Yaoi/Yuri fans and Yaoi/Yuri fans that stand against homophobia and intolerance

How this all got started.

I happen to support a pairing that is boyxboy.
Why should I have to feel like I'm a rabid slashing Yaoi fan for believing they have a relationship of LOVE?
Or that two people of the same sex would be good together?

Same sex pairing shouldn't be seen as "eww". It's some crack pairings or hentai that should be =_=.

Stop generalizing Yaoi because of certain doujinshi's ! I've seen some hetero stuff you can't even imagine oO.

Don't believe Yaoi can be something which does NOT involve rape, underaged sex, incest, non-canon relationships, and abuse? Watch this: [link] . Yes, it's man sex between two characters from an anime, but there's NONE of those things all Yaoi Haters rant about.

I came around the profile of and read her journal entry, which I think expresses well the concept from which this group is born:

I do not know about everyone else out there, but I think that it is time for all the Yaoi/Yuri/Gay/Lesbian haters to please do something for those that DO enjoy it. I would like to request that you all leave us alone. I mean come ON how unattractively petty of you guys to go around and degrade and disgrace someone else's art work. IT incredibly disrespectful and unimaginably rude, now do not misunderstand me, I am NOT saying that you cannot have your own opinion on it, I am just humbly requesting that you please not lower yourselves to that of a mere child.

I must also point out the fact that I've noticed, you guys all get irritated and mad when you see the couples we like, same-sex or not, you feel the need and complete desire to bring us down by saying that it is wrong and will never happen. Take the anime Naruto for example. there are many characters that can be paired with the others. I dislike some of the couple out there, like NaruHina, ShikaTema, and SasuSaku, but I do not go around flaming every single picture of these couples that I see. Some of the artists spend a large amount of time on the picture and would like you to just either favorite it and leave HELPFUL CRITICISM!! In case any is clueless as to what this means I will happily inform you, this means to look at the artwork and find any flaws in the drawing, like an arm being to long or neck too short, and help on how to fix it. This does NOT mean to show how low your intelligence is by saying something along the lines of "I'm Right Your wrong and I won't change my mind." This also makes me mad, people who think that their "couple is canon. I agree that some are, but some just will not work.

I do not want to split hairs about this or to have anyone note me saying that I am just mad that people bag on Yaoi haters. Yes I am irritated in the fact that you feel the need to insult and degrade the artist who spent a gigantic amount of time into a piece of artwork that happens to be people of the same-sex. Please people, I am absolutely sure that you have more to do in life than to look on the internet art site and when you see something that looks like Shonen-ai/Shojou-ai/Yaoi/Yuri you must say how much you hate it.

I am just going to say this once, and I can not stress it enough, so if you would PLEASE READ THIS PART CAREFULLY!!! If you do not like the couple or the fact that they are gay/lesbian pictures please please PLEASE be as mature as you can muster yourself to be and just leave...yes...take your mouse, move it over to the BACK arrow and leave the picture. *Gasp* Imagine that little concept. I know it sounds mean and harsh and rude, but trust me people, I am being nice about this. Honestly, every rude little comment that did not need to be made on all of the couple pictures that I have seen, just astounds me to no end. I am astonished and ashamed to call you guys true artist.

Here let me put you into an artists shoes that you so happen to insult/degrade/bash on. Say you like....SasuIno, and you draw a picture of it, how would you feel if I just happened to see and decided to let you know how much I hate it and left you a comment like this, "OMG!!!111 This couple is sooooo stupid and could Nevar happen in the whole wide world. I can't believe you would draw something this retarted." No tell me, how would that make you feel, if a comment was left on every single one of your pictures that I did not like. You would either note me back and tell me how stupid I am and how right you are then the war begins and will only end in a nonsensical battle to prove who is right. What that proves is that we both have nothing better to do than to have an argument with someone else over the internet. Or you would ignore me and feel a little insecure about your artwork.

I know this, because it has happened to me, and a lot of people that I know, and I am just feed up with all of the immaturity on this site! GROW UP CHILDREN IT IS TIME TO GET A LIFE!!! I am so sick of seeing people dissing and dissing and dissing, until they get your way. You know what? I must say that I do not really have a care in my mind about what you think, unless you are actually trying to help. You can not like the couple, that is fine. You can not like Same-sex pictures/couples, that is fine too, but please do not put down the artist, that just shows that you have the lowest level of immaturity ever.

And I do NOT want to hear about freedom of speech, but you do not have the right, insult,slander, put down, or bash anyone who contradicts you. I am not saying, do not voice your opinion, that is not what I'm saying, you can give your opinion on it, just do it in a chivalric and mature manner. Or just leave the picture and look for a couple that you like and if it happens to pop up in the results, just please PLEASE P L E A S E Ignore it. You can not like and have your own opinion of it, just do it at an adult level, if that is to much for you then I am sorry, but please at least try...

When I didn't like Yaoi I NEVER discredited anyone's art or tastes, I simply left it alone. It doesn't mean I agree with all the slash yaoi pairings out there, it's just my feeling and I don't go forcing it on others. When I do something to defend something I like or disagree with, it is done in a rational and subdued manner. For no matter how much I dislike a pairing, I still don't rant about it on other people's art. Crack is crack either way, and the monstrosities of fandom do not apply only to Yaoi/Yuri.
